Last month I received my welcome letter as a new member of the International Thriller Writers (ITW) Association!
I had attended ITW’s premiere annual conference twice as a “reader”/guest, in awe of the talent and generosity of the community of authors that I met there. While there, I was able to take a “Mastercraft” workshop with Meg Gardiner one year and Lee Child the next.
With Meg’s guidance and input from the other participants in our small group, I worked on improving a draft scene that ultimately became the basis for Chapter 3 in All That Fall!
One of the first things to come from my ITW membership was a request that I make an “under-1-minute” video of the space in which I write. With some trepidation I did so since I had never filmed “ a selfie video” for anyone other than my kids.
